How did you feel joining the SIP team?
The first day is always nerve-wracking, but by the end of the week I felt very comfortable and welcomed by the SIP team. I started having chats with different team members and knew that the SIP team would be a great place to begin my professional journey. The SIP ‘mentor program’ is amazing as a senior team member is assigned to you as your mentor and encourages you to speak about your career goals and provides assistance and support along the way.
Graduate Induction Training
The graduate induction training was very intense at the beginning, but I’ve come to learn a lot about the company’s values and understanding how the values align with my personal goals. Based on the training provided and getting a sneak peek of the opportunities I would be working on; it truly motivated and inspired me, with a diverse perspective on the accounting industry. A bonus of the training was the opportunity to connect and engage with other graduates and interns in the same boat as me, knowing that we’re all in this together. The most challenging part of the induction training was trying to remember all information given in one go. I felt a bit overwhelmed, but the SIP team encouraged us not to be afraid to ask lots of questions which made me feel very supported and determined to always do my best!
What are you looking forward to the most now you have joined the team and working on client work?
Now that the training is complete, I look forward to expanding my knowledge by learning the different areas of the industry, as well as collaborating with more experienced colleagues. Lastly, being able to engage with clients and contribute to meaningful projects will allow me to see the real impact of my work and grow professionally.
The SIP office
The SIP office has a welcoming atmosphere. Level 3 provides a great space to have lunch together, play table tennis and to wind down at the end of the week with Friday night drinks!
